Embracing Creativity and Connections: My Journey at Kulturfabrikken

Hello everyone! My name is Soumia, and I come all the way from Arezzo. As an artist who is passionate about illustrations and music, I radiate energy and love being surrounded by people. Today, I want to share my incredible experiences as a volunteer at Kulturfabrikken. From the very first weekend, I knew this journey would be extraordinary, and it has been nothing short of amazing.

During my initial days, I had the opportunity to participate in the first-ever graffiti workshop at Kulturfabrikken. Together with Guna, Deborah, Simon, and all the enthusiastic participants, we created a mesmerizing piece of art for the Royal Run. It was a thrilling experience to witness our collective creativity come to life through vibrant colors and powerful strokes. This workshop marked the beginning of a creative journey that I will cherish forever.

As weeks went by, I had the pleasure of getting to know my colleagues, who quickly turned into dear friends. We shared countless moments of laughter, support, and inspiration. Whether it was brainstorming ideas for upcoming events or simply enjoying a cup of coffee together, our bond grew stronger every day. Similarly, I formed deep connections with the youngsters who visit Kulturfabrikken regularly or on special occasions. Their enthusiasm and passion continuously motivated me to give my best.

During this month, my journey has been filled with a mix of beautiful and challenging experiences. In the second week, I managed to sprain my ankle (yes, it happened!). However, this setback did not dampen my spirit. Instead, it taught me the value of resilience and the incredible support system at Kulturfabrikken. My colleagues and the young artists rallied around me, offering encouragement and lending a helping hand whenever needed.

Despite the minor setback, I embarked on an exciting adventure with Deborah. We explored the vibrant city of Nykøbing, immersing ourselves in its rich culture and nature. It was during these moments of exploration that we got to know each other on a deeper level, sharing stories, dreams, and aspirations. These friendships are the foundation of my unforgettable Danish experience.

To add to the joy, my best friend Virginia came to visit me during my time in Denmark. Together with some friends, we attended the mesmerizing Los Fuegos Concert. The event filled our hearts with inspiration and left us in awe of the immense talent surrounding us. She left after 4 days, but I’m pretty sure you will hear about her soon ;)

Me, Debby and some friends attended the CPH open event!!!! I had so much fun and had another chance to enjoy some time with amazing people.  

Life in Denmark has been a transformative experience for me. It's a world apart from what I was accustomed to, but it has been equally magnificent. The project itself is awe-inspiring, and the people who make it happen are genuinely remarkable. My heart is brimming with love and inspiration, and I couldn't be happier.

As my journey at Kulturfabrikken continues, I am grateful for the opportunity to unleash my creativity, form lifelong friendships, and be a part of an extraordinary cultural center. The connections I have made, the experiences I have had, and the lessons I have learned will forever hold a special place in my heart.
