Everything happened all at once and now it's over and we have to go home ✮

Dear everyone, :-)

now the time really has come – We have to say goodbye to Kulturfabrikken, our wonderful co-workers, mentor and leader; all our new friends and loved ones and to Denmark as well.

This has been an amazing, beautiful, exhilarating year with experiences I'll never forget, laughter, life lessons, friends that will always stay in my heart.

Before I leave, I also have things to get off my chest:

Thank you, Guna, our first and best friend in Denmark and the best mentor you can have. Your fire is bright and you’re the most driven Person I’ve ever met. You probably heard me say a lot that I’ve met people here, whose existence i could have never even dreamed of. And every single time I said it, I had to think of you first. Without you Kulturfabrikken wouldn’t be the same and our experience in Denmark would have probably been very very boring. Thank you for all the cafe and outdoor cafe shifts, the event planning, the last-minute crazy ideas – whether at work or in private. It was a blast, a dream come true, and a connection made by the stars. Thank you for everything. All of it.

Thank you, Mette, a leader, like I've never had before. Thank you for taking us with you and showing us the real little things that make Denmark what it is.  Thank you for welcoming us with open arms and open doors. You made sure that we never missed anything, whether it be food, a lift or a good swim at the beach. Thank you for taking care of us.

Thank you, Ronni, the most capable man I have ever met. In my eyes you’re the heart of Kulturfabrikken and the person that keeps everything together behind the scenes.  Thank you for the biggest, most unexpected laughs I’ve had in my life, for your explosive wonderful humor and for all the early workdays that were saved by your company. Thank you for your trust, for always understanding and for being the coolest man ever. Wir sehen uns in Deutschland ;)

Thank you, Lena, for being the most exciting woman, that is totally herself, cheeky and honest and warm. You are the net that holds everything and everyone together. Little check-ins, talks in the office kitchen and the total overview over everything. Thank you for your magical way of lighting up the room with a warm smile.

Thank you, Maria, for your enthusiasm, your calm and strength and for always looking forward in difficult situations. Your wild humor often caught me off guard and brightened my day. Thank you for staying true to yourself and standing up for your ideas no matter what.

Thank you, Ingrid, for bringing fresh wind into the office. All the mornings I came in, expecting our office to be empty, and there were you - sitting at the laptop and smiling with the biggest grin, looking like you were having the time of your life. You always listened to my morning complaints and were there for whatever it was. Thank you for being an amazing office partner and for taking all of us as we are.

Thank you, Elisabeth, for your intense but gentle self. It has been the biggest pleasure to witness your genius brain in action. Every conversation we had was filled with the maximum of information and knowledge the both of us had and I will never stop admiring your way of coming up with the craziest and at the same time most logical solutions to all kinds of things. You are a kind and curious soul, with a quick mind and an even quicker tongue. Thank you for that.

And lastly of course, thank you, Tabea, for being the best roommate and friend I could have ever asked for. From the moment we met, the goodnight hug we shared on the first evening and ever since - all the olive pasta bowls, the tv snoozes, secondhand shopping and driving adventures that turned into moments, in which we looked at each other and immediately knew what the other was thinking, moments in which we were laughing tears, talking about the same situation for hours, dancing through the hallway and squeezing ourselves into your little window to check out what’s going on at the city square. It will forever stay in my heart. No matter what happens, this experience I will cherish forever.

This whole year and all the people that were in it have changed who i am, what i want, who i think i am and how i look at many things. I am grateful for every single second of it and will try to keep everything in my memories.

I hope to see you all again and that I was maybe also able to impact your lives a little bit (in a good way of course 😊)

Take good care of yourselves and vi ses
